Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced OTT Test Engineer to join our team in Englewood, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating OTT applications across multiple platforms, ensuring high-quality video streaming experiences for Live TV and Video-on-Demand (VOD) services. The candidate should have strong expertise in functional testing, video playback validation, network log analysis, defect management, and basic automation scripting.

Key Responsibilities

• Test OTT applications across various platforms including Smart TVs, Roku, Samsung TV, Apple TV, Android, and iOS devices.
• Validate video playback quality, user interface functionality, performance, and overall user experience.
• Perform testing for Live TV, Video-on-Demand (VOD), and content metadata validation.
• Analyze network traffic and streaming issues using tools such as Charles Proxy and Fiddler.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using Jira.
• Validate firmware updates and application releases across supported devices and platforms.
• Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using Java and open-source automation tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Participate in test planning, test case creation, execution, and reporting activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and release timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing OTT/Streaming applications.
• Strong knowledge of Live TV and VOD workflows.
• Experience testing on Smart TVs, Roku, Samsung TV, Apple TV, Android, and iOS platforms.
• Solid understanding of video streaming technologies and content delivery.
• Experience using Charles Proxy, Fiddler, or similar network monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.
• Basic automation experience using Java and open-source testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OTT device certification testing.
• Knowledge of streaming protocols such as HLS, DASH, and DRM technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation best practices.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.

Education

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Work Arrangement

• Onsite role based in Englewood, NJ.
• Candidates must be available to attend an in-person (Face-to-Face) interview.

Salary : $60 - $70
