Responsibilities:
- Process various accounting related transactions
- Perform project-based work with Controller to improve processing of transactions, including analysis of account information and reconciliation of data with the business system
- Perform other accounting related tasks as assign by the Controller
Primary Duties:
- Record cash receipts for accounts receivable and enter invoices for accounts payable
- Deposit payments received in company bank account
- Perform bank reconciliations for checking accounts
- Assist with other accounting functions such as taxes and monthly financial reports
- File and maintain clerical records and reports
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Pursuit of Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred with completion of intermediate accounting coursework
- Preferred general accounting exposure and experience but not required
- The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and knowledge of common accounting concepts in academic setting
- Understanding of relevant computer programs and proficient in data entry and management
- Preferred software experience: Excel
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
- Attention to fine detail and accuracy
- Discretion and sound judgment
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities
