The Role: Sr. Analyst International Logistics
Planning/Forecasting
- Partner with Planning Team to determine 2 week locked, short-term, and long-term international shipping demand.
- Coordinate with FFs for short-term and long-term demand needs.
- Coordinate with US PLCs, EU, AUS, and FFs for 2 week locked plan via weekly plasma, FF, and receiving site planning and scheduling meetings.
- Coordinate with FFs for adhoc international plasma shipping needs within 2 week locked plan window.
- Create bookings with FFs for all international plasma shipments out of the Americas (US, PR, and Canada).
- Coordinate with US PLCs and FFs for detailed weekly pick-up schedule.
- Coordinate with FFs and US PLCs to manage pick-up schedule and booking lanes to expected cycle times.
- Manage documentation for outbound international shipments including Logic and SAP documentation.
- Perform stock transfer responsibilities, including determining order types, ensuring correct information is associated with the order, and verifying pricing, import, and delivery and shipping information.
- Coordinate outbound FF shipping including management of delays and FF issue resolution.
- Create and print proforma invoices.
- Communicate to receiving sites inbound schedule and FF shipping information.
- Real-time oversight of all international plasma shipment for progress to defined cycle times and schedule.
- Management and communication port arrival schedule and delays impacting receiving schedule (**receiving schedule to be managed by ILO EMEA team).
- Management of all issues and escalations occurring during internal shipping process.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships and communication with FFs.
- Represent CSL ILO on weekly (as needed) and monthly business reviews of FFs.
- Management of continuous improvement with FFs for performance and quality against business and quality contracts and agreements.
- Support budgeting process for internal plasma shipments.
- Review and verify FF invoices against the agreed freight charges and rates.
- Monitor the current freight costs against budget/forecast.
- Maintain performance, quality, and financial metrics associated with the America’s international plasma shipping process.
- Contribute to monthly reports and finance forecasts.
- Comment on deviations in connection with the sales-budget/forecast.
- Monitor actual delivery volumes versus plan.
- Prepare weekly/monthly KPIs, including analysis of the deliveries with the purpose of optimizing the global transportation costs.
- Contribute to continuous optimization of the order management processes within own area of responsibility.
- Contribute to the development of new lanes within scope of international plasma shipments out of the Americas.
- Provide support concerning the documentation of processes, including preparation of the procedural documentation of trainings.
- Participation in the preparation and in the updating process of SOPs (global).
- Participate in team meetings and projects within Global ILO.
- Complete all relevant ongoing training for role and continuously seek ongoing knowledge in alignment with role and responsibilities.
- Provide training for new team members and trainees on the plasma international shipment management process.
- Provide training for internal guidelines (in agreement with the direct report line manager).
- Provide training for external guidelines (e.g., new country/region requirements).
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics or Management or equivalent related field experience.
- English language fluency, Spanish language is a plus.
- More than three years of experience with logistics or supply chain.
- Experience working in and knowledge of various aspects of warehousing, distribution, inventory control, export and transportation preferred.
- Ability to work independently and on a compressed time schedule.
- Demonstrated critical thinking/problem solving skills required.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word.
- Experience with GDRS and Track Wise.
