Title of Job: Patient Care Coordinator
Location: New York, NY 10016
CSI Companies is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator for our Fortune 100 healthcare client in New York, NY (near the intersection of 2nd Ave and E 37th St).
Job Summary
The Patient Care Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring efficient clinic operations by managing patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative tasks. This position involves interacting with patients and staff to provide exceptional service and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
Pay: $20 – 25 an hour based on experience
Hours: Full Time Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm

Status: Consultant. This is a short-term consulting opportunity offering the chance to gain experience with a Fortune 100 organization on high-impact initiatives. Effective Date / Tentative Start Date: Interviewing Immediately
Job Duties:
- Greet patients as they arrive and provide a welcoming atmosphere
- Collect and process patient payments
- Schedule, cancel, and change appointments within the electronic medical record
- Collect insurance cards and photo identification for all patients, scanning and uploading them to the electronic medical record
- Collect and process in-coming and outgoing mail
- Verify patient insurance eligibility using the electronic medical record or insurance portal electronic verification system
- Make outgoing calls for scheduling, re-scheduling or returning patient calls
- Register new and returning patients, collecting and verifying all demographic information and completing accurate and detailed data entry into the electronic medical record
Requirements
- Proficient in Epic electronic medical record, MS Word, and Outlook
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Highly Preferred Large corporation experience
- Health plan / managed care / healthcare industry experience
