Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including setting up scaffolding, barricades, and safety signage
- Carry out physical tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating basic tools under supervision
- Support the installation of building components like framing, drywall, flooring, and roofing materials
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
- Load and unload construction materials and equipment efficiently and safely
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the work site by disposing of debris and organizing tools and materials
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor roles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction tools and safety procedures; certification in OSHA safety standards is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
