Senior Manager of Fund Accountant

Key Responsibilities
Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee period‑end and year‑end close processes for private equity funds, including:
- NAV calculations and investor capital account statements
- Waterfall calculations and carried interest allocations
- Management fee and expense accruals
- Review and approve:
- Quarterly and annual financial statements
- Investor reporting packages
- Ensure accurate accounting for:
- Capital calls and distributions
- Investment acquisitions, disposals, and valuations
- Co‑investments, SPVs, blockers, and holding structures
- Investment & Transaction Oversight
- Review transaction accounting for:
- Equity and debt instruments
- Complex deal structures and multi‑currency investments
- Coordinate with investment teams to:
- Validate transaction inputs and financial impacts
- Support deal lifecycle events (closings, exits, restructurings
- Act as primary point of contact for:
- External auditors
- Tax advisors
- Regulatory bodies (where applicable)
- Manage annual audit cycles and review audit deliverables
- Ensure compliance with:
- Fund LPA and side letters
- Applicable accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS / Lux GAAP, as applicable)
- Review tax‑related information affecting fund accounting (DTA/DTL awareness, not tax filing)
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fund accountants
- Allocate work, perform quality reviews, and ensure adherence to SLAs
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, GPs, and internal stakeholders
- Drive process standardisation, automation, and efficiency initiatives
- Review and enhance internal controls and procedures
Participate in system implementations or enhancements (e.g., Investran,Geneva)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Private Equity fund accounting and NAV concepts
- Capital accounting and carried interest mechanics
- Proficiency in fund accounting systems and Excel
- Strong analytical, review, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple funds and deadlines
