Responsibilities
- Inspect trailers (both loaded and empty) to ensure they are in proper working condition and safe for use.
- Generate and process work orders for trailer repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Oversee driver check-in/check-out process, ensuring trailers are parked, driven, and secured safely and efficiently.
- Print and prepare paperwork for drivers, ensuring accurate tracking and tracing of dispatched loads and equipment.
- Monitor trailers loaded with customer materials and communicate any concerns promptly.
- Report and document damages to equipment, including tracking the responsible carrier and coordinating follow-up.
- Collaborate with customer service and maintenance teams to expedite repairs or resolve service issues.
- Proactively communicate any delays, equipment issues, or safety concerns to prevent service failures.
- Maintain accurate records of trailer inspections, maintenance, and incident reports.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Prior experience in trailer maintenance, fleet operations, or related transportation/logistics roles.
- Knowledge of trailer equipment, safety procedures, and DOT compliance regulations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and report equipment issues.
- Effective communication skills for working with drivers, internal teams, and external carriers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Basic computer proficiency for generating work orders, tracking equipment, and processing paperwork.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to preventing service disruptions.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
