Logistics Operations Associate

Job Type: Full-time; Onsite

Responsibilities

• Support the logistics team in coordinating export shipments from purchase confirmation through document release.
• Assist with tracking production and readiness updates from third-party processing facilities.
• Help monitor supplier schedules to ensure alignment with Last Receiving Dates (LRDs), vessel cut-offs, and booking requirements.
• Work with freight forwarders and carriers to request bookings, confirm schedules, and track container assignments.
• Follow-up on logistics milestones such as inland trucking, container loading, inspections, vessel departure, and courier release of export documents.
• Act as a communication liaison between internal trading, operations, and finance teams.
• Communicate with suppliers, processors, freight forwarders, and inspection agencies to confirm timeline and requirements.
• Assist in resolving basic shipment expectations or delays, escalating issues to management when needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely updates in internal systems.
• Support the preparation and verification of commercial, transport, and compliance documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, phytosanitary certificates and inspection certificates.
• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with contractual and banking requirements.
• Assist with submitting documents to banks & clients as directed.
  
  

Experience

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Data entry with a high level of detail & accuracy.
• Strong prioritization & organizational abilities.
• Clear and professional interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Basic understanding of international logistics concepts, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Prior experience in logistics, operations, shipping, or related administrative work.
• Familiarity with export logistics, freight forwarding and container shipping.
• Knowledge of export documentation or Incoterms terminology.
