Five Key Roles:

Drone Application of Agricultural Products

• Perform custom application with spray drone
• Apply crop nutrients and crop protection products in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner
• Mixing, loading, and application of crop protection products and plant nutrition
• Ability to understand the chemistry and aerial label requirements of products

Drone Operations and Equipment Maintenance

• Responsible for completing a pre-flight inspections and daily logs
• Responsible scheduling and field mission planning
• Complete and maintain required application reports, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation

Equipment Maintenance

• Operate, service, and maintain custom application equipment
• Assist with housekeeping and maintenance of the facility, roadways and assigned vehicles/equipment

Customer Service

• Accurately load and unload product
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Provide customers with maps and application reports

Other

• Attend training, professional development and continuing education opportunities
• Be personally responsible for the safety of self and others
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• Valid driver’s license
• Class A CDL with tanker
• FAA Class 3 Medical Certificate
• Part 107 UAV Certification
• Minnesota Commercial Pesticide License (A,B,C)
• Maintain commercial applicators license
• Meet the driver qualification standards set by the self-insured group in which the cooperative is a member

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Precision Ag/Ag Systems Technology, or other Agriculture related degree program

• Ability to obtain FAA Drone Remote Pilot Certification
• Agricultural or Ag retail background
• Previous internship experience desired 
• Desire to serve farmers, agribusinesses and others involved in the agriculture industry 

• Willingness to work long hours (weekends and holidays included)
• Basic equipment operation skills
• Must get it, want it, and have the capacity to perform (GWC)
