Crystal seeks a Seasonal Part-time Boys Golf Assistant Coach. The Boys Golf Assistant Coach is responsible for the oversight of athletic training, strength and conditioning workouts, and providing technical support and training to athletes, as appropriate to the sport. Coaches have responsibilities not only to the students under their supervision, but also to the parents, the school, and the community.

Salary And Benefits
This is a seasonal, part-time position averaging approximately 15 hours per week. It is not eligible for benefits. This position is paid hourly at $22 per hour, with a target pay of $4,000-$5,000 for the season depending on experience. Season key dates: practices start on February 2, 2026, with potential postseason May 12, 2026 and beyond.

- Exhibits and mentors the scholar-athletes in good sportsmanship and fair play.
- Attends mandatory coaches’ meetings.
- Monitors the conduct of their scholar-athletes during practices and games.
- Provides a safe environment for the scholar-athletes by checking the playing area and equipment before each practice, and game/competition.
- Prevents injuries through thoughtful, balanced workouts.
- Instructs scholar-athletes in the basic rules and fundamentals of the sport.
- Assists in implementing training programs to develop athletes in the sport.
- Completes tasks delegated by the Head Coach and/or Athletics Department.

Required Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- One year of minimum related experience is preferred
- Valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (American Red Cross/American Heart Association)
- Golf playing and coaching experience (2 years preferred)
- General knowledge of best practices in interscholastic athletics and golf, specifically
- Able to work in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
- Works in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20-50 pounds
- Able to drive a 9-seat school van (valid driver’s license in good standing required)
