Crystal Spring Grocery Co. is looking for a hands-on manager to lead our front-of-house and retail operations. We’re a neighborhood destination for prepared food, specialty groceries, wine, and everyday meals, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys taking care of both guests and a team.

You’ll work directly with our COO and kitchen leadership to run daily service, develop staff, grow sales, and keep the business organized. We need someone who takes ownership, follows through, and is comfortable working on the floor alongside the team.

What you’ll do

• Lead daily service and create a welcoming, consistent guest experience.
• Hire, train, schedule, and coach front-of-house staff.
• Manage staffing and workflow to support service while keeping labor costs in line.
• Build product knowledge and help the team increase sales through thoughtful recommendations.
• Keep retail displays stocked, organized, and appealing.
• Oversee front-of-house supplies, inventory, ordering, opening and closing procedures, and cash handling.
• Coordinate with the kitchen on prepared foods, catering pickups, and special events.
• Work with our marketing team to support seasonal products and promotions.
• Review sales, average checks, labor, and guest feedback, then turn those results into practical improvements.
• Maintain standards for cleanliness, food safety, and responsible alcohol service.

What we’re looking for

• At least three years of hospitality leadership experience in a restaurant, café, specialty food shop, or similar business.
• Experience scheduling, training, and holding a team accountable.
• Strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
• Comfort using a POS system and reviewing basic sales and labor reports.
• A warm, professional approach to guests and the ability to stay steady during busy service.
• Availability for weekends, some holidays, and occasional events.
• Interest in food, wine, and specialty retail. Relevant product knowledge is a plus.
