Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Mower/Landscaper to join our outdoor maintenance team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing residential and commercial landscapes through various lawn care, gardening, and landscape maintenance tasks. Responsibilities
- Mow lawns using commercial and residential mowers, ensuring even cuts and healthy turf
- Perform landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, trimming trees, and shrubbery care
- Operate hand tools such as trimmers, edgers, shovels, rakes, and pruning shears for various landscaping tasks
- Use power tools safely for tasks like edging, aerating, and installing landscape features
- Maintain irrigation systems including installation, repairs, and seasonal adjustments
- Conduct snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access for properties
- Execute hardscape projects such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls when needed
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape improvements or installations
- Perform general maintenance on equipment such as lawnmowers, excavators, and other machinery to ensure optimal operation
- Support tree care activities including trimming, removal, or planting as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or related outdoor work preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools necessary for efficient operation
- Familiarity with gardening practices and horticulture principles
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively in various outdoor conditions
- Experience with excavators or construction equipment is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and snow plowing techniques is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor outdoors for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license preferred for equipment transportation or property access purposes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced outdoor environment
