Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Uphold and support recreation expectations Great Service, Quality Programming and Safe Recreation.
- Assist department in minimizing liability and risk.
- Follow activity standard operation procedures (SOPs) and uphold facilitation standards for Family Programs outlined in training.
- Communicate, promote, sell and encourage all on and off site program participation.
- Accurately oversee sales transactions when needed (cash, credit card, and room charge) from a mobile bank (18 years and up only).
- Perform daily set up, end of day pick up, and cleaning/organization of recreational equipment.
- Communicate any program suggestion, complaints and compliments to the Program Lead or a Manager in a timely manner.
- Return program bins to proper storage area. Bins are clean and organized, accurately labeled, well stocked.
- Interact and provide a safe, fun environment at all times.
- Work special events and other programming as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
- Previous recreation facilitation experience is desirable, but not required.
- CPR/First Aid Certifications required.
- Excellent guest service.
- Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
- Must possess a high level of concentration, self-motivation, the ability to multi-task and the drive to have fun.
- Previous experience working with children a plus.
- Must have the ability to work independently.
- Dependable and meets goals.
- Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.
- Currently enrolled in middle/high school, high school diploma or equivalent.
- Combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Minimum 14 years old. Minimum 18 years old to operate a bank.
- Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
- Non-smoking candidates preferred.
