Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and document progress accurately.
- Educate clients on self-care practices and pain management strategies to support ongoing wellness.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional treatment environment in compliance with health regulations and licensing standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment procedures, and ensure comfort throughout sessions.
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education requirements to enhance your skills.
- Uphold all licensing requirements, including CPR certification and adherence to medical terminology standards.
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
- Proven experience in providing diverse massage therapies such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, prenatal massage, and trigger point therapy.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to tailor treatments effectively.
- Experience working in medical spas or occupational health settings is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate clearly with clients about treatment plans.
- Prior experience with pain management techniques and client communication is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage practices enhances service quality.
