Join our Quality Assurance team to ensure product excellence and support continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. You'll perform hands-on testing, support new product launches, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality tests: crosshatch, mil thickness, pencil hardness, cure, gloss, reverse impact, puck testing
- Operate precision tools and gauges for material inspection and defect analysis
- Support APQP and PPAP documentation: Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans
- Investigate nonconforming materials and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Collaborate with Customer Service and Engineering on RMAs and rework options
- Audit shop floor processes and ensure compliance with work instructions and standards (e.g., AAMA)
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with quality inspection tools and small hand tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong data entry accuracy
- Ability to read, revise, and create technical documents and work instructions
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement practices
- Strong attention to detail for visual defect identification
- Post-secondary education or technical certifications preferred
Work Environment & Expectations
- Manufacturing setting with potential exposure to paint line substances (see SDS)
- Mandatory overtime may be required
- Up to 30% travel to customer sites
- Independent and team-based work
