About Us
Crystal Finishing is home to 950 team members and over $150 million in annual sales, built on craftsmanship, reliability, and pride in a job well done. From aluminum extrusion to fabrication and finishing, we deliver high‑quality products that shape industries across the country.
Our Die Shop is a great team - people who enjoy hunting, fishing, tinkering on cars, and swapping stories over beef jerky. If you like working with your hands, solving mechanical puzzles, and being part of a team that genuinely enjoys what they do, you’ll fit right in.
Why You’ll Love This Role
This isn’t a job where you stand in one spot all day. As a Die Runner, you’ll move between different tasks, learn new skills, and play a key role in keeping production running smoothly. You’ll work with dies - the molds that shape aluminum into everything from window frames to custom profiles - and you’ll get to see the full process from assembly to breakdown.
If you like variety, mechanical work, and a fast‑paced environment, this is a great place to grow.
What You’ll Do
- Set up dies for the extrusion presses based on the production schedule, including locating, moving, and installing dies into rings.
- Label and stage dies accurately to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
- Clean and detail dies using die cleaning tanks; drain, transfer, and replace caustic materials as needed.
- Assist with die assembly and return completed dies to their designated locations after repair or correction.
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Use a variety of hand tools—hammers, allen wrenches, air hammers, chisels, and more.
- Wear required PPE consistently, including metatarsals, gloves, safety glasses, respirators, and other protective gear.
What You Bring
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments; extrusion experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and transpose numbers accurately.
- Comfort using hand tools and working with mechanical components.
- A self‑motivated, dependable work ethic with strong attendance.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
