About the Role
We’re looking for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented team member to join our die shop. In this role, you’ll split your time between die detailing (60%) and die running support (40%), helping ensure our dies are prepped, maintained, and performing at their best. What You’ll Do
- Perform die detailing tasks including inspection, polishing, light corrections, assembly, and documentation to ensure dies meet quality and tolerance standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and prepare dies for production runs while assisting with troubleshooting on the press.
- Receive and inspect new dies, maintain accurate die history logs, and ensure dies are properly prepped for first‑run readiness.
- Support Die Runners with caustic tank processing, rinsing, drying, sandblasting, and die movement; serve as a reliable backup when needed.
- Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and precision hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, barring squares, sanders, and flatness gauges.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all PPE and safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 months of die detailing experience or similar hands‑on mechanical experience.
- Ability to read die prints, measure accurately, and perform basic data entry.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Experience with small hand tools is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to caustic materials (PPE provided).
Working Environment
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, noise, and caustic materials.
- Required use of PPE including metatarsal boots, sleeves, and goggles.
- Mandatory overtime may be required based on production needs.
