The Technical Services Sales Representative serves as a consultative sales and technical support partner to customers and internal sales teams. Sales & Business Development
- Partner with Field Sales Representatives to support new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts through technical consultation and solution development
- Identify additional service opportunities within existing customer sites, including waste disposal, profiling, lab packs, wastewater, and special projects
- Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and audits to assess waste streams and recommend appropriate services
- Assist with preparation of pricing inputs, scopes of work, and technical details for proposals and bids
- Perform waste characterization, profiling, and classification in accordance with RCRA, DOT, and state regulations
- Conduct field testing, HazCat assessments, and proper sampling of waste streams at customer locations
- Coordinate waste approvals with approved TSDFs to ensure compliant and cost‑effective disposal options
- Serve as a technical resource to sales and operations regarding waste compatibility, packaging, labeling, and disposal restrictions
- Support lab pack preparation, special waste projects, and customer‑specific disposal requirements
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, internal project teams, and disposal vendors
- Work closely with Project Managers, Logistics, and Billing to ensure accurate waste documentation, drum counts, and invoicing
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation including manifests, bills of lading, labels, profiles, and land disposal restriction forms
- Support customer satisfaction through responsive communication and high‑quality technical guidance
- Maintain compliance with all DOT, EPA, state, and local environmental regulations
- Promote and adhere to all company Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures
- Identify and escalate safety or compliance risks to appropriate leadership
- Strong working knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and environmental compliance requirements
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and non‑technical audiences
- Consultative sales mindset with strong customer relationship skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and waste tracking or profiling systems
- Excellent organization, documentation, and time management skills
- 3 years of experience in environmental services, waste management, or technical sales
- Hands‑on experience with hazardous and non‑hazardous waste characterization and disposal
- Familiarity with TSDF operations, waste profiling, and regulatory documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Ability to travel to customer sites, including industrial environments
- Ability to wear required PPE and perform site walk‑throughs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
