Position Summary
Steak and Lobster House at Crystal Bay Casino is seeking an experienced and professional Fine Dining Server to provide impeccable service in our upscale dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a refined sense of hospitality, in-depth knowledge of food and beverage pairings, and a passion for delivering a world-class guest experience. This position plays a critical role in upholding the elegance and reputation of our fine dining operation through attention to detail, graceful service, and thorough product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Experience & Service Delivery
Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional, attentive service from arrival to departure.
Present menus, describe daily specials, and make knowledgeable food and wine recommendations.
Anticipate and respond to guest needs in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure precise timing of meal courses and maintain a calm, polished demeanor throughout service.
Provide tableside service when appropriate (e.g., wine service, menu explanations, etc.).
2. Operational Excellence
Set and reset tables with precision, ensuring proper alignment of flatware, glassware, and linen.
Accurately take guest orders and input into POS system.
Monitor food and beverage quality before serving and ensure proper presentation.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
Handle guest concerns or complaints with discretion and professionalism.
3. Cleanliness & Compliance
Maintain a clean and organized station, side work, and service areas throughout shift.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in accordance with local and company policies.
Adhere to all alcohol service laws and age verification procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience
Minimum 2 years of fine dining or upscale restaurant experience required.
Wine and spirits knowledge preferred; certification a plus (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers).
Skills & Abilities
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Licensing & Certifications
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess or be able to obtain an Alcohol Awareness Card (TAM or equivalent in Nevada).
