What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Project Manager position at Crusher Works?
Crusher Works, LLC is looking to hire a Project Manager / Logistics Coordinator for our Birmingham, Alabama-based business. We are a growing heavy equipment dealer servicing the entire Southeastern region of the US.
The right candidate for this job would have to possess strong organizational & communication skills, have the ability to be proactive and multitask regularly.
This role would be responsible for managing orders that come through our sales team, including logistics coordination with our team as well as the customer, being sure to maintain strict timelines and job-specific requirements.
Other responsibilities:
- Ensure all documentation is complete (contracts, delivery/return reports, COIs, etc.)
- Develop and maintain timelines/delivery schedules.
- Review order details, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Coordinate with sales, service, and logistics teams to ensure equipment readiness.
- Manage internal driver(s) and third-party haulers
- Track equipment locations/status/availability
Preferred Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of Quickbooks a plus
- DOT regulations, permitting processes, compliance, and load requirement knowledge for movement across state lines.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
