Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Billing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the billing and collection processes, ensuring billing is within client guidelines, as well as submitted timely and accurately. This position requires excellent computer skills, great attention to detail, clear and effective verbal and written communication, the ability to multi-task, and the flexibility to be able to work well with others as well as independently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and edit pre-bills to be approved for invoice processing
- Generate, update and submit invoices for all billable services and costs, with compliance to client guidelines, as well as firm policies
- Submit all required information timely, as needed and dependent on the client, which can include, but is not limited to, budgets, timekeeper and rate approvals, prior-approvals for certain expenses, back up for expenses , W9's etc.
- Resolve any instances of rejection with regard to any submission
- Update relevant notes, as needed, in the system for each matter
- Collaborate with timekeepers for appeal responses to be able to submit timely
- Monitor accounts receivable for assigned accounts, by generating and analyzing various needed A/R reports to aid in collection efforts.
- Send collection emails and make phone calls to follow up on past due accounts, as needed, while maintaining good customer service
Qualifications
- Prior e-billing experience in a law firm environment; 1-3 years.
- Familiarity with e-billing systems such as LSS, Legal X, Counsellink and Tymetrix .
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Good mathematical skills for accurate calculations and client account reviews is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interactions with supervisors and clients.
- Highly self motivated, excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
