Position Summary:
A Shift Lead guides the Crew through each shift, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional customer service, and consistent dessert quality. They lead by example, communicate clearly, and uphold the store's core values of Accountability, Communication, Adaptability, and Inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, communicate, and lead each shift effectively.
- Ensure top-tier dessert quality, customer service, and store cleanliness.
- Assign tasks based on team strengths and provide clear guidance.
- Submit shift reports and updates via Slack.
- Handle shift coverage needs and resolve staffing gaps.
- Address and resolve customer concerns.
- Oversee catering prep and execution.
- Manage cash drawer, deposits, and change orders.
- Ensure shift checklist(s) are completed.
- Post required shift updates (e.g., fridge levels, game plans) on Slack.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Work outside scheduled availability if the store requires coverage.
