What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Cruitin?
We’re working with multiple established manufacturing and distribution operations in the Murfreesboro/Smyrna area that are actively adding experienced Maintenance Technicians to their teams.
These are permanent, long-term roles supporting high-volume production environments where equipment uptime is critical. If you’re someone who can troubleshoot, fix the problem, and keep things running, you’ll be valued here.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnose issues quickly to minimize downtime
- Work with PLCs (basic troubleshooting is a plus, not required for all roles)
- Support continuous improvement efforts on the floor
- Communicate with production and leadership to keep operations moving
What They’re Looking For
- 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, or manuals
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or production environments
- PLC exposure (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.) is a plus
- Reliable, hands-on, and able to work independently
