What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet Sub Assembler position at CRUISERS YACHTS?
Cruisers Yachts is a world renown manufacturer of luxury yachts. At the center of Cruisers Yachts you'll find heart. We are looking to add a motivated and hardworking Cabinet Sub Assembler to our Pulaski, WI location. This position will prep and assemble cabinets per drawings and blueprints.
This is a 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
What you will do:
- Review checklist to find part that is being assembled.
- Look over prints and gather supplies/ parts from shelving in building.
- Cut cleats at work station using chop saw. Sand areas that need to be sanded using DA
- Pre -drill cleats and assembly pieces as required. Attach cleats and assembly parts together using glue, clamps, and screws/ drivers.
- Assemble pieces then to face and sides of cabinet area, using appropriate equipment
- Gather drawers and doors for cabinet. Drill doors for hinge placement and attach doors and drawers to cabinet
- Adjust the doors and drawers to open correctly using appropriate tools
- Attach locking mechanisms, blow out dust from cabinet and place finished item on cart/ shelf or floor.
- Return print to proper area. Check off cabinet on checklist
What you need to have:
- Previous woodworking experience and/or cabinet assembly
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of woodworking machinery
- Experience with machines such as power saws, jointers, and mortisers
- Good mathematical skills
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Strict adherence to safety measures
