Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Human Resources Manager with manufacturing experience to lead all HR functions across multiple automotive parts manufacturing facilities. This role supports a complex, non-union, high-volume production environment and partners closely with plant and operations leadership to align human capital strategies with business and manufacturing objectives.
The ideal candidate might have a strong background in automotive parts manufacturing, experience supporting multiple plant locations, and a deep understanding of non-union, production-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all human resource activities for multiple automotive parts manufacturing plants.
- Act as a strategic business partner to plant managers and operations leadership.
- Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management
- Oversee workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies for hourly and salaried employees.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, and safety-related regulations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with automotive parts manufacturing best practices.
- Support and promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Manage compensation, benefits administration, and HR metrics reporting.
- Lead training, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Support change management related to new programs, production launches, workforce expansions, or restructuring.
- Travel regularly between plant locations as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional HR certification preferred.
- 10 years of progressive Human Resource Management experience in automotive parts manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting multi-plant or multi-site operations.
- Proven experience operating in a non-union manufacturing environment; no union negotiations or labor relations required.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and compliance in production settings.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with operations leadership.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-accountability manufacturing environments.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000 per year
