Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and trailers to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo for transport
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs and ensure roadworthiness
- Follow established routes for delivery and pick-up, optimizing efficiency while maintaining punctuality
- Handle various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, heavy loads on flatbeds, or hazardous materials transported via tankers
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., Refrigerated Trailer, Tanker)
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations
- Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailer combinations
- Experience handling different freight types such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tanker shipments
- Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or manual techniques
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight transportation
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and customer service excellence
