Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, making them feel welcomed and appreciated.
• Manage restaurant reservations using various table management systems such as Aloha POS, ensuring efficient seating arrangements.
• Coordinate with the dining staff to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about the restaurant, reservations, and wait times with proper phone etiquette.
• Maintain organized waiting lists and seating charts to streamline guest flow during busy hours.
• Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and provide accurate information about menu offerings when needed.
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host/hostess station area to promote a safe dining environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone communication professionally and courteously.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management tools and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage seating arrangements efficiently during high-volume periods.
• Basic math skills for handling waitlist calculations, guest counts, and reservation times accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest well-being.
• Previous experience in hotel or restaurant environments will be considered a plus, along with serving or guest relations background.
