Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, the Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials among departments to ensure production schedules and deadlines are met.
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, the Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials among departments to ensure production schedules and deadlines are met.
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Buyers and Planners to ensure material needs of production are met
- Follow up with vendors and buyers regarding lead times for materials and obtain tracking information; coordinate delivery dates, as needed
- Follow up on any items showing short by working with purchasing and engineering to get a resolution in place
- Update the status of the materials and ETAs in the ERP system
- Notify appropriate internal teams (project managers, production managers, etc.) of any issues and material shortages that could potentially affect production
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a warehouse/ manufacturing setting required
- 1 years’ experience in planning, customer service, production, inventory, logistics or expediting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Experience with MRP/ERP Systems preferred
- Able to type 120 WPM preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk using a computer
- Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
