Reporting to Production Manager, the CNC Programmer is responsible for using CAD software to convert fabrication drawings into machinable parts on the CNC machines (punch press, laser, and press brake).

Reporting to Production Manager, the CNC Programmer is responsible for using CAD software to convert fabrication drawings into machinable parts on the CNC machines (punch press, laser, and press brake).
What a typical day looks like:
- Read technical drawings and convert 2D and 3D drawings into mechanical components on the CNC machines (punch press, laser, and press brake machines)
- Recommend scheduled machine runs to provide the highest output of production
- Verify cutting tools and cutting sequences
- Complete all production, programming, and quality control documentation, as required
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues as they arise
- Operate the CNC machines as needed.
- Complete other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience in a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient with CAD Software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Physically able to operate the press brake.
- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time
- Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
