Med/Surg RN Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license valid in Kentucky
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience
- Recent medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Strong patient-assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Experience administering medications, treatments, and IV therapies
- Ability to identify and respond to changes in patient condition
- Accurate clinical documentation and recordkeeping skills
- Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities
- Commitment to patient safety and compassionate care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients during the night shift.
- Complete patient assessments and monitor vital signs and changes in condition.
- Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
- Develop, maintain, and update individualized nursing care plans.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Educate patients and families about treatments, recovery, and ongoing care needs.
- Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and other clinical staff.
- Coordinate care with physicians and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Follow all medication-safety, infection-control, and facility procedures.
- Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.
