Schedule Information

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 12-hour night shifts
• 13-week contract assignment

Labor & Delivery RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Strong knowledge of maternal and fetal care practices
• Experience caring for laboring and postpartum patients
• Ability to perform maternal and fetal assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
• Strong critical-thinking and emergency response skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment

• Fetal monitoring equipment
• IV pumps
• Maternal monitoring equipment
• Neonatal emergency equipment
• Electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Standard Labor & Delivery equipment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients within the Labor & Delivery department
• Perform maternal and fetal assessments and monitor labor progression
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Assist with deliveries, procedures, and emergency interventions
• Respond quickly and effectively to obstetric emergencies
• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Support patient safety and follow hospital policies and procedures
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and mobility needs
• Perform additional nursing duties as assigned
