Indianapolis, IN
Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 3:00pm | $50K - $55K
Production Supervisor Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role preferably in manufacturing
- Proficiency in basic Math skills
- Excellent communicator, both verbally and written
- Mechanically inclined
- Knowledge of machinery and packaging equipment a plus
- Demonstrate an understanding of Quality Systems (i.e. ISO9001)
- Good Decision-making skills
- 5-S & Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
- Proficiency using Measurement Tools (i.e. Tape Measure, Digital Calipers, etc.)
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
About the Production Supervisor Role
As Production Supervisor,, your responsibilities will include:
- Effectively work and communicate with a team to continuously improve quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Schedule production for the department and meet production requirements
- Coordinate requirements and schedules with other departments
- Supervise up to 30 production hourly employees
- Adjust workforce based on workload
- Troubleshoot and solve production problems
- Evaluate and improve production efficiency
- Follow company policy and procedures (safety, quality, productivity, discipline, order, human resources, and continuous improvement)
- Some Extended hours & Weekends as necessary
- Drive & Implement improvement & Lean initiatives
