Crown Staffing is hiring a Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who enjoys pediatric care, direct patient interaction, and working in a structured skilled nursing/day health setting for medically complex children.

Pediatric LPN Requirements
Current LPN license in Kentucky or qualifying Nurse Licensure Compact license
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current CPR/BLS certification required
Current negative TB test required
Minimum of 2 years of current LPN experience preferred
Basic computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Office
Must be comfortable working with pediatric patients from birth to age 21
Must maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
Must complete required background screening and child abuse/neglect check
Must complete a 10-panel drug screen

About the Pediatric LPN Role
The Pediatric LPN will provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients according to each child’s individual care plan and treatment needs. Care is provided under the direction of the RN Case Manager and the child’s provider.

Pediatric LPN responsibilities may include:
Providing individualized care to children in a safe and supportive environment
Administering prescribed medications and treatments within LPN scope of practice
Documenting care accurately at the time care is provided
Monitoring and reporting changes in a child’s condition to the RN Case Manager
Communicating professionally with families regarding each child’s care
Supporting each child’s physical, emotional, behavioral, psychosocial, and educational needs
Responding calmly and appropriately during urgent or emergent situations
Following care plans, center policies, and nursing procedures
Working closely with the RN Case Manager, center leadership, caregivers, and other team members
Assisting with facility cleanliness and maintaining a safe care environment
Serving as a mentor or preceptor for other employees as experience allows
