Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude and guide them to their tables
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using table management systems
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Support the front-of-house team by assisting with guest inquiries and special requests
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure guest relations are handled with care and attention
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm is key!
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlists, and billing procedures
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided
