JOB PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES Maximize sales of all Warehouse Solutions products designated for this position within a defined territory. Review profitability of the Warehouse Solutions Department which includes reducing errors. Work in a team-selling environment. Work closely with sales staff and Warehouse Solutions Coordinator and promote Warehouse Solutions training for these positions. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Solutions Manager, Sales Manager, or Branch Manager. PERCENTAGE OF TIME KEY TASKS 35% Territory Warehouse Solutions Sales Support Assume responsibility for large Warehouse Solutions projects initiated by sales staff. Establish and follow a weekly itinerary consisting of one-on-one appointments with sales staff. Accompany sales staff on customer visits, especially during Warehouse Solutions installations. Keep accurate records of all sales calls and customer files. Prepare a monthly sales forecast. Attend all sales meetings and assist Manager in preparing agenda for the Warehouse Solutions lines portion of each meeting. Assist in developing Warehouse Solutions sales strategies, proposals, and sales presentations. Under the direction of a manager, identify, recommend, and conduct appropriate Warehouse Solutions training to further develop sales/Warehouse Solutions staff to have the knowledge and skills necessary to independently handle smaller Warehouse Solutions projects. Communicate effectively with associated product vendors. Assist Manager in scheduling training sessions with vendors. Develop and maintain relationships with developers, architects, real estate agents and consultants involved with potential Warehouse Solutions projects. 35% Computer Aided Drafting (Auto CAD), Quotation, and Order Process Assist sales staff in defining specifications for customer applications. Prepare all paperwork for vendor demo requests. Work closely with sales staff to review drawings, quotations, quantities, and capacity calculations to ensure accuracy of the project and to ensure specifications are met. May be required to make minor revisions to CAD drawings and provide to sales staff. Assist salespeople with building measurements and information gathering on large projects. Will support information gathering, quotations, and installation of Auto Positioning System (APS) and Auto Fencing projects. Gather and prepare all paperwork for permit process. Review drawings to be used in sales presentations and/or produce blueprints for installation purposes. Make every effort possible to respect time of sales staff so that they may spend most of their time in front of customers. Review and revise all pricing, terms, installation parameters, and financing for order process. Review all acknowledgements for accuracy and make changes. Work jointly with Warehouse Solutions Coordinator to process orders. 20% Product Installation Provide related information on available maintenance programs. Address any on-site installation issues. Responsible for project management. 10% Miscellaneous May participate in litigation situations. May become involved in collection of receivables. Maintain vendor relations. Communicate the status of customers to Department Managers. Perform other duties as assigned. Reviewed 02/29/2024 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 2-4 years related experience High school diploma or equivalent Extensive travel (over 20%) Occasional overnight stays (0-5%) Job requires employee to drive a lift truck Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business > 20% per week (more than 8 hours) and an MVR is required A valid driver’s license is required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A four-year college degree is desirable for this position. Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Excel and Word programs. Good communication, relationship building, and time management skills. Several years of successful sales experience. Problem solving capabilities, strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and selfmotivation, and the ability to work in a team environment. Warehouse product knowledge and experience with AutoCAD strongly desirable. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Per 8-hour shift. Must be able to sit 3 hours, stand 3 hours, walk 2 hours, see, talk, and hear. Must be able to frequently keyboard and use a mouse, lift/carry/push/pull up to 20 lb., and grip/grasp. Must be able to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lb., bend/stoop/twist, squat, reach below knee level, reach above shoulder level, climb stairs, torque, work with arm outstretched, work above chest level, and pinch/grip. Ability to safely operate lift trucks preferred. Must be able to safely operate vehicles. Must have good binocular vision and be able to distinguish colors. Possible exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust solvents, fuels, battery acid, and noise pollution.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
