What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrollment Counselor position at Crown College?

The Enrollment Counselor works under the general direction of the Associate Director of Graduate, Adult and Professional Enrollment and is responsible for the recruitment of online Graduate, Adult, and Professional students. This includes the customer relationship management system including communication flow and data entry as well as recruiting and counseling with applicants.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Graduate, Adult and Professional Enrollment.

 SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:

None.

 EQUIPMENT/JOB LOCATION:

Works primarily form a remote location but must be available to come to the Crown, St. Bonifacius campus on a regular basis. Equipment used includes, but is not limited to, personal computer and required programs, printer, copier, calculator, and other equipment as the position requires. 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

·         Oversee the communication flow to inquiries, applicants, admits and enrolled students.

·         Counsel applicants about admission, financial aid, and academics.

·         Develop ways to seek out and contact adult learners.

·         Develop educational plans for incoming students.

·         Act as liaison with the Registrar’s Office, Technology Services, Billing and Academics.

·         Remain current on all aspects of the admissions process, academic offerings, and financial aid opportunities of the College.

·         Seek creative ways to strengthen and improve the general operation of the office, making appropriate recommendations for change.

·         Travel as needed to other locations for recruitment and registration and at off-campus events and functions. (This will include evenings and weekends)

·         Maintain an inventory of all promotional materials of the College.

·         Generate general weekly, monthly and yearly reports as requested.

·         Be responsible for other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Graduate, Adult and Professional Enrollment

            REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

·         Must be in agreement with the Crown College Statement of Faith and Community Covenant

·         Ability to work collaboratively with a team

·         Established connections with churches

·         Ability to communicate in a caring, positive, and clear manner

·         Experience in college admissions or sales; an understanding in recruiting adult learners at an educational system is preferred

·         Results oriented, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented with a positive attitude and able to collaborate with other offices within the institution

·         Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with other employees, the public and governmental agencies

·         Ability to spend extensive time on the telephone

·         Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while recognizing and complying with task deadlines

·         Ability to recognize and comply with appropriate task deadlines

·         Ability to work both independently and in a team setting as deemed by assignment

·         Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral formats

·         Proficient in Word and Excel

·         Possession of effective problem solving and analytical skills

·         Willingness to travel on occasion

·         Must possess a valid Class C driver's License

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Use the telephone for extended periods of time.
  • To have hand and arm (or equivalent) dexterity adequate to allow for extensive use of a keyboard for data entry.
  • To talk and hear with enough proficiency to allow for communicating with co-workers and applicants by phone or in person.
  • To have adequate vision to accommodate frequent viewing of computer screens.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/ or move up to ten (10) pounds and infrequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • The noise level is usually moderate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor's degree

·         Previous sales experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Experience with institutional systems such as Perceptive Content, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office products

·         Experience in College Admissions
