The Crown College Student Receptionist will provide professional and courteous service via the telephone and in person to the members of the College community and the public. They will portray an image of Crown College that is consistent with its mission and lifestyle standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Support and Model the policies and standards of Crown College as stated in the Student Handbook and Crown Community Covenant. Evidence of Christian character and a commitment to encourage others toward Christ-likeness. Must be in good standing with the college. Previous experience with administrative work preferred.
Responsibilities - Provide a detailed list of tasks and responsibilities.
• The student receptionist is immediately responsible to the Primary Receptionist • The student receptionist will promptly answer all calls and route them pleasantly and quickly • The student receptionist will assist visitors to the College, giving a pleasant greeting and offer of assistance. • The student receptionist will maintain familiarity with all current email and calendar information related to campus activity (guests, events, etc.) • The student receptionist will serve as the primary contact in the event of an emergency, assisting Student Development and Security personnel by conveying urgent information and contacting the appropriate emergency assistance • The student receptionist will process all incoming faxes electronically for college personnel and students • The student receptionist will issue temporary guest parking passes. • The student receptionist will maintain the professional appearance of the reception area by keeping it clean and free of unnecessary items • The student receptionist will maintain familiarity with the Receptionist Manual, attend all required meetings as scheduled, and fulfill all assigned shifts according to policy • The student receptionist will present a professional and appropriate personal appearance in keeping with scheduled campus events and according to the policy as listed in the Receptionist Manual • The student receptionist will perform various other tasks as requested by college personnel and as assigned by the Primary Receptionist
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks. Proficiency with basic computer applications, including email and word processing. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and helpful demeanor. Maintain confidentiality regarding private student information. Demonstrated dependability and punctuality. Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple responsibilities. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond appropriately to unexpected situations. Professional demeanor, including appropriate appearance and conduct in the workplace. Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines in all work areas.
Physical Demands:
Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing job duties. Preferred
