What You'll Do:
You will be responsible for assisting customers with requests for fuel products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use forklift to load and unload trailers, deliver lube products barrels to customer vehicles and move items within the shop area.
- Ensure the work and shop areas are clean and tidy; this includes lawn services.
- During winter months ensure that the snow is maintained around the yard and at our retail card lock gas stations.
- Move supplies and/or equipment to designated storage areas.
- Drive company vehicles (non CDL) to plow snow, transport package products, do station checks, and other duties as assigned.
- Assist vessels with docking and undocking.
- Observe pump meters and receives and processes payments from customers for purchases.
- Perform routine maintenance to work area in order to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Ensure the work area is clean and tidy including moving supplies and/or equipment to designated storage areas.
- Ensure work is being performed according to company operational and safety standards.
- Act as a first responder to fuel spill incidents.
- Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Entry Level Job. Industrial Related Previous Experience Preferred.
Technical Skills:
Familiar with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word and other technology such as tablets and smart phone.
Competencies:
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, mowers, pickup trucks, and hand tools
- Ability to repetitively lift and handle 35# propane bottles.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT Med card are required.
- CDL is not required but would be a plus.
- Forklift certification is preferred and may be required after completion of the introductory period.
