Description:
The Teacher Development and Student Intervention Specialist - Social Studies position is designed to build teachers\' capacity in content and pedagogy by providing and supporting ongoing professional learning, coaching and feedback and monitoring and analyzing student learning as a means of deepening teachers\' content knowledge, improving practice, and elevating student achievement. The lead will support curriculum development, professional development and integration/alignment of instructional standards. The TDSI is also designed to work directly with students to personalize the learning experience based on their needs.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching credentials in the area(s) and grade level(s) of assignment
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong subject area content knowledge as appropriate to assignment
- Exceptional communication skills
- Knowledge and experience in curriculum and instructional strategy implementation
- Knowledge and experience with rigorous curriculum and instructional strategies
- Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and research-based best practices
- Evidence of skills in planning, organization, and collaboration
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of effective professional development practices
- Knowledge of English Language Learners (ELL) strategies
- Passion for increasing student learning
- Experience using student and campus level data to select, implement and differentiate instructional methods, designed to meet each student\'s individual needs
Experience:
- At least 3 years of recent successful classroom teaching experience
Minimum Salary
$63,810 (2025 - 2026 Comp Plan)
• Salary determination will be based on verified relevant work experience
• Salary will be adjusted to the start date
Teacher Pay Scale 10 days
