Position Overview
Our client is seeking a
Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Analyst
to support and enhance ServiceNow CMDB operations. This role is vital for maintaining accurate configuration and asset data to support strategic IT and business decisions, reduce operational risk, and optimize technology costs.
The CMDB Analyst will report to the IT Asset Management (ITAM) Manager and collaborate closely with ITSM, ITAM, and ServiceNow platform teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage day-to-day
ServiceNow CMDB operations
, ensuring configuration data integrity and reliability. - Ensure
data accuracy, completeness, and alignment
with ITAM lifecycle and CSDM (Common Service Data Model) standards. - Develop and apply
data quality rules, reconciliation logic, and certification activities
to improve CMDB reliability. - Collaborate with ServiceNow and Discovery teams to
optimize integrations and automation
, minimizing data duplication. - Generate
health dashboards, reports, and metrics
to demonstrate CMDB accuracy and compliance. - Support
impact analysis
for incidents, changes, and service requests using CMDB insights. - Maintain compliance with client
security, data integrity, and IT standards

Required Qualifications
- 3 years
of hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, ITAM, and ITSM disciplines. - Strong understanding of
IT Asset Management principles
(hardware, software, lifecycle management, contracts). - Deep knowledge of
ServiceNow CMDB data models
, discovery, and integrations. - Proficiency in
data analysis and problem-solving
, with a proactive approach to improving data integrity. - Excellent written and verbal
communication skills
and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Knowledge of
ITIL and ITAM best practices

Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow CIS-Discovery
or
CIS-CMDB
certification. - Experience with
ServiceNow Reporting and Dashboards
. - Proficiency in

Work Environment / Onsite Requirements
- This position is primarily
remote
, but occasional
on-site presence in Middletown, PA

- Candidate must maintain
professional appearance
during virtual meetings and comply with clients IT standards and Acceptable Use Policy. - A
