We're looking for a skilled and proactive Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst/Developer to join a dynamic Data Analytics Team supporting a large public education system. You’ll play a key role in turning complex educational data into actionable insights via interactive dashboards and reports that directly support student outcomes, educator effectiveness, and strategic decision-making.
This is a contract position with strong potential for long-term engagement. The work is currently fully remote, with potential future flexibility to include occasional on-site collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau or Power BI.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through consistent validation and testing.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and refine outputs.
- Create supporting documentation for ongoing and repeatable processes.
- Help support the annual data reporting cycles and upgrades with accurate, efficient delivery.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Tableau or Power BI for developing advanced dashboards and reports.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure SQL Database and data modeling.
- Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and enterprise-level reporting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication – both written and verbal – across all levels of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent professional experience).
