Crouse’s Patient Transport team is hiring a Patient Care Transporter to complete duties related to transporting patients, supplies and equipment

Patient Care Transporter Responsibilities
- Professionally transports patients between departments or to adjacent medical facilities using a variety of equipment including but not limited to, stretchers and wheelchairs.
- Properly transports laboratory specimens, blood products and equipment across the organization as directed by department leadership.
- Proactively assists other employees with movement of patients on/off stretchers, wheelchairs and/or beds.
- Diligently retrieves stretchers, wheelchairs and equipment from remote locations and ensures it is working properly. Proactively notifies department leadership of faulty equipment.
- Delivers medications to patient care areas in cooperation with the pharmacy department.
- Conscientiously performs cleaning and disinfectant duties on a variety of transport equipment in between patient use and returns equipment to proper location in a timely manner.
- Courteously performs patient transport to morgue, as requested.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire.
