Responsibilities
- Prepare business and individual income tax returns under the supervision of senior team members.
- Support accounting engagements, including general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
- Perform research on basic tax and accounting issues; draft clear, accurate workpapers and documentation.
- Participate in client meetings, assisting with data gathering, analysis, and follow-up.
- Collaborate with senior staff to identify process improvements and implement firm best practices.
- Pursue CPA certification, company provides exam fee reimbursement and paid study support.
- Grow professionally through mentorship, training, and direct exposure to diverse industries and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years experience with a small to medium size public accounting firm with an emphasis on tax preparation (internships count)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/tax software
