Crossraods Elementary School is looking for a motivated, positive individual to provide specialized services for CES in relation to parents and/or the community. This role will focus on coordinating volunteers and supporting school staff through recruiting and training school volunteers.

Monitor students and assure proper conduct in the lunchroom; maintain cleanliness of food service facilities.
Position Details
Hours: 3 hours per day
Contract Length: 177 days per year
- 170 school days
- 7 planning days
Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date
Employment Status: Part-time (not eligible for benefits)
Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay schedule
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.
Compensation & Experience Credit
Salary for the 2026-2027 school year will be based on Board approved salary schedule.
2025-2026 Pay Scale
- Starting Pay (Step 0): $15.98/hour
- Experienced Pay (Step 10): $17.26/hour
We value experience! Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired.
New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.
- The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.
Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.
