Job Summary
The Lead Realtime Content Designer supports the creation of immersive visual content that enhances the weekend experience at Crossroads. Working under the guidance of the Wonderwall Executive Producer and in close collaboration with the Realtime Content Producer, the Disguise Programmer, and the broader Experience Team, this role is central to developing animation, cohesive graphics packages, and environmental elements for a large LED volume, as well as AR/XR projects.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in 3D workflows with proven experience designing and producing content for real-time environments. In addition to creating excellent work, this lead role helps coach and develop other Realtime Content Designers, fostering growth and consistency across the team. This is a highly creative yet technical position, suited for an artist with a sharp aesthetic sensibility and a passion for innovation. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team building the future of storytelling in the church.

Principal Duties and Responsibiities
- Design and execute a variety of assets (digital environments, animation, graphics packages, etc.) to create immersive weekend experiences that are cohesive with the overall creative direction.
- Collaborate closely with the Wonderwall Executive Producer, Realtime Content Producer, Disguise Programmer, and the broader Experience Team to ensure seamless integration of content.
- Lead and mentor other Realtime Content Designers, providing creative direction, technical guidance, and feedback to maintain consistency and excellence across projects.
- Execute a weekly production plan for asset creation, ensuring timelines are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Build and manage a library of assets, templates, and presets while maintaining documentation of technical workflows, challenges, and solutions.
- Optimize content for real-time playback and integration with Disguise media servers, AR/XR projects, and other immersive systems.
- Partner with external studios and vendors as needed to bring additional creative assets into the pipeline.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technology, and realtime design tools, helping the team remain at the cutting edge of immersive content creation.
- 10 years of professional motion graphics experience (please submit a reel or samples of work).
- Proficient in content creation and integration in game engines and real-time workflows.
- Strong experience in 3D design, including modeling, texturing/materials, UV mapping, virtual lighting, and rendering.
- Experience creating generative and interactive content, as well as real-time content rendering and modification.
- Robust understanding of data routing, including sACN, MIDI, Art-Net, and OSC.
- Familiarity with broadcast video environments, including digital signal processing and stage lighting systems.
- Experience with interactive/infrared tracking systems (Leap Motion, Kinect, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks, and organized with meticulous attention to detail.

- Must be able to walk up to 5 miles while performing duties, including standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and high-impact events at Crossroads.
- Travel required as needed.
