Crossroads At Delta Assisted Living Facility is looking for a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our caring team in Delta, CO. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals for assisted living residents according to scheduled menus
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Accommodate special dietary needs, restrictions, and physician-ordered therapeutic diets
- Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully sanitized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with dietary staff and caregivers to ensure resident satisfaction and nutritional needs are met
- Assist with meal plating, portioning, and timely service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a commercial kitchen, healthcare foodservice, or assisted living setting preferred
- Knowledge of special dietary needs, including low-sodium, diabetic, and texture-modified diets
- Food Handler's Certification or ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to food quality and presentation
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor when working in a senior care environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced kitchen setting
