CDL Drivers (Concrete Mixer)

Crosspoint Group is seeking a dependable, safety-driven Ready-Mix Loader Operator (CDL Required) to join our concrete operations team in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

In this dual-impact role, you will be essential to daily ready-mix concrete production—operating heavy equipment to manage aggregate materials, supporting batch plant operations, and stepping into commercial vehicle operation and ready-mix deliveries when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely operate a front-end loader to charge aggregate bins, manage raw material inventories, and build material stockpiles for continuous batching operations.
• Material Handling & Yard Flow: Safely move, stock, and organize bulk aggregates (sand, gravel, crushed stone) across the facility yard to maintain steady production flow.
• CDL Driving & Deliveries: Operate commercial concrete mixer trucks and transport ready-mix products to customer job sites safely and on schedule as operational demands dictate.
• Preventive Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections (DOT and OSHA/MSHA compliance); report repairs, grease fittings, and assist with basic plant maintenance.
• Plant Upkeep & Housekeeping: Support plant cleanliness, aggregate pit maintenance, and ready-mix plant operations.
• Safety & Compliance: Uphold rigorous plant safety standards, company protocols, and DOT regulations at all times.
• Customer Interaction: Deliver professional, courteous service on-site during commercial deliveries and contractor handoffs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Valid Class A or Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record (Required).
• Equipment Experience: Prior experience operating a front-end loader, wheel loader, Ready Mixer or comparable heavy equipment (Preferred).
• Industry Background: Familiarity with ready-mix concrete batching, quarry/aggregate operations, asphalt, or construction site environments (Preferred).
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to conduct routine walk-around inspections, identify mechanical issues early, and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Reliability: Proven record of punctuality, safety awareness, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Safely climb in and out of heavy equipment and high-profile commercial vehicles repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Work outdoors in varying regional weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust).
• Walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and navigate uneven terrain, gravel beds, and stairs.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs periodically during maintenance and washout operations
