What You Will Be Doing
- Engaging with K-8 students as a mentor, establishing trust and cultivating a mindset without limits
- Leveraging AI and adaptive learning platforms to customize educational pathways—students move at their own speed while you facilitate discovery
- Creating and facilitating life-skills workshops (public speaking, goal-setting, teamwork) that equip students for long-term success
- Cultivating an environment of curiosity, ambition, and development—supporting students in recognizing their strengths and passions
Youth Mentor key responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Proven public speaking ability, with demonstrated capacity to engage and energize audiences
- A genuine desire to connect with, inspire, and motivate K-8th grade students
- 3 years of experience coaching or mentoring children
- Legal authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship
- Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Austin, TX; Brownsville, TX; or Fort Worth, TX
- Availability to attend a paid training program at our Austin, TX campus

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
