What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Education Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- In-person locations: Beverly Hills, CA; La Jolla (San Diego), CA; Piedmont, CA; South Bay (LA), CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available)
- $200,000 annually, paid weekly | Health, dental, and vision coverage from day one
Students at Alpha don't attend traditional lectures. They move through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your role is ensuring three core commitments are fulfilled for every student in your cohort: genuine enthusiasm for learning, 2x accelerated progress, and acquisition of skills beyond standard curricula. You will also mentor the Guides responsible for delivering these outcomes throughout your campus.
Data informs every choice, and every day involves direct interaction. Your time divides between your own student cohort and the Guides under your leadership — with identical expectations for both: quantifiable advancement, without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, you don't draft documentation; you observe, discuss, and resolve it that same afternoon.
You'll witness reserved children presenting with poise to adults. You'll encounter a student who previously "despised school" requesting to remain after hours. And you'll recognize that the standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their transformation, because upholding expectations demonstrates your conviction in their potential.
You may be establishing a completely new campus from inception and setting the cultural foundation that will shape the institution. As the location develops, your emphasis transitions from operational startup mode to coaching leadership, cultivating the team that extends Alpha's methodology across your territory.
If this opportunity appeals to you, submit your application now.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour interactive life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K-8 students covering topics such as public speaking and concentration, adhering to Alpha's structured framework
- Conducting daily motivation sessions designed to drive 100% of students toward their weekly application targets using age-appropriate mechanisms including school currency and leaderboards
- Developing Guides through direct observation, specific feedback, and practical coaching so they execute sessions with equivalent energy and accuracy
- Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to pinpoint individuals requiring intervention, then providing personal support
- Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational approaches you require from every Guide
- Creating lesson plans or building curriculum. Students progress via adaptive apps; your responsibility is elevating the people supporting them.
- Delivering traditional classroom lectures. You're 80% performer, 20% content expert; if standing at a whiteboard appeals to you, this role differs.
- Compromising standards due to parental or administrative pressure. When a student reaches 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll receive institutional support to maintain that boundary.
- Working from an office processing administrative documents. The majority of your time is spent directly with students and Guides.
- Delaying performance conversations for weeks. Results appear live in Coachbot and adjustments occur the same day.
Execute Alpha's 3 Promises throughout your cohort and among the Guides you develop: every student genuinely enjoys school, progresses at 2x speed, and acquires authentic life skills.
