What You Will Be Doing
- Design and deliver virtual small-group and one-on-one reading intervention sessions for students in grades 3–8
- Use reading assessment data to target fluency and comprehension gaps and adjust instruction quickly
- Differentiate activities across multiple reading levels, including support for dyslexia and related reading difficulties
- Track progress in a clear, consistent way and use the data to plan the next sessions
- Run structured motivation check-ins that build confidence, persistence, and pride in growth
- Teach large, whole-class lessons or lecture from a fixed curriculum
- Follow a pre-scripted program without adapting to student needs and real-time feedback
- Act as a passive “software monitor” without meaningful instruction and connection
- Rely on shallow rewards that do not build lasting motivation

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, literacy, or a closely related field
- Reading intervention certification or endorsement (e.g., Arizona Reading Specialist K-12 or equivalent state certification)
- Specialized training or certification in dyslexia intervention (or related structured literacy approaches)
- At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group or one-on-one reading interventions for students in grades 3–8
- Experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties
- Ability to interpret progress monitoring data and use it to plan and adjust instruction
- Strong ability to engage and manage students in a virtual setting through clear, motivating communication
- Available to work in a hybrid capacity in Arizona as needed.
